The cowboy Lucky Luke tracks the Dalton brothers who escaped from prison and are seeking refuge in Canada.

The Dalton brothers are to receive their dead uncle's fortune if they eliminate the judge and jury responsible for his execution. And to accomplish this task, they must enlist the help of Lucky Luke.

Outlaw and self-appointed lawmaker Judge Roy Bean rules over an empty stretch of the West that gradually grows, under his iron fist, into a thriving town, while dispensing his his own quirky brand of frontier justice upon strangers passing by.
